Chris Vaught
Senior Pastor
Chris
Vaught has served as Senior Pastor of Cool
Springs Church since November of 2002. He sensed
God’s calling upon his life to be a pastor at
age 18. Before coming to Cool Springs he served
the Ark of Safety Church in Beech Creek, KY from
1991-1998 and Pleasant Union General Baptist
Church in Deerlick, KY from 1999-2002.
He holds
a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from
Trinity College of the Bible, a Masters of
Ministry in the Bible and a Doctorate of
Ministry in Christian Counseling from Covington
Theological Seminary.
Chris has been married to
his High School sweetheart, Lisa, since 1990.
They have 3 children and a special young lady
they call their “unofficial adopted daughter.”
Chris has served the General Baptist
denomination as the Moderator of the Long Creek
Association, a member of the Constitution &
Bylaws Committee, Nominating Committee,
President of the Minister’s Conference, Chairman
of the Council of Associations and
has served as
Host/Moderator of the 2009 Mission and Ministry Summit.
He is a sought after conference and revival preacher.
He has led church growth conferences, spoke at
conferences and revivals in Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky,
Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas and California. |

Rev.
Harold West
Executive Pastor
Harold was ordained as a minister in 2005. He
was born and raised in Norfolk VA for the first
11 years of his life. His father is a retired
U. S. Navy Chief Petty officer. Upon retirement
his father moved his family back to Butler
County. Harold graduated Butler County High and
attended one year at Western Kentucky University
before entering a career in sales. He has been
married over 26 years to his wife Angie and they
have a son Robert who is currently serving
overseas in the U. S. Navy. He was in sales for
over 20 years before feeling the pressing call
of God into the ministry. He has attended Cool
Springs General Baptist Church for most of his
life. Harold has served many rolls of the
church over his lifetime. He has served as
Sunday School Teacher, Trustee, Deacon, member
of Gideons International, a member of Long Creek
Association Camp board, Director of the Senior
High camp for 10 years, President of the Sunday
School Convention and Moderator of Long Creek
Association to name a few. Harold is a devoted
husband and loving father but his first and
truest devotion is to our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ. Harold is currently serving as
Executive Pastor of Cool Springs General Baptist
Church in Butler County Kentucky. |

Doris Martin
Secretary
Doris is from Morgantown, KY. She
started working as the Administrative Assistant for Cool
Springs Church in March, 1996. Her duties involved
working with the pastors, bookkeeping, preparing the
Sunday bulletins, assisting with the ministries of the
church and managing the office.
Doris is a graduated of Butler
County High School and a graduate of Draughons Junior
College, in Bowling Green KY. majoring in Business
Administration.
She moved to
Indianapolis, IN. in 1974. While living in Indianapolis,
Doris worked in the statistics office for four years and
auditing office for six years for the Wm. H. Block
Company.
Doris & her family moved back to Morgantown
in 1990 to raise her children in a small town
environment. She is married to Kenneth Martin, they
have two children, Kenna and Kyle. Doris has been a
member of Cool Springs Church since 1997. |

Kathern is a life-long resident
of Morgantown, Ky and has attended Cool Springs
General Baptist Church all her life.
Responsibilities include assisting the Senior
and Executive Pastors in providing leadership
for the Administrative programs of Cool Springs
Church. She also gives general oversight and
leadership to the following Administrative
Ministries:
Budget Team – Membership Team – Trustee Ministry
- Annual Elected Church Officers – Image Team
and participates in collecting and building of
the annual church budget with the Senior Pastor,
Executive Pastor and Budget Team.
She and her husband Michael have one son,
Patrick, daughter-in-law, Rebecca and
granddaughter, Parker.
Kathern is a graduate of Butler County High
School, attended Western KY University and has
owned and operated an accounting business,
focusing primarily on income tax work, for 31
years. She enjoys being a part of the
administrative staff at Cool Springs General
Baptist Church and serving the Lord through this
capacity. Kathern also has been very involved
as an Auxiliary member of the Gideons
International for more than twenty-five years
and has held several state and local offices
with that organization. |

Michael Jennings

Michael has been a member of Cool
Springs Church since joining in the early 70’s.
His responsibilities include oversight and
planning of all worship services, leading the
choir, and oversight of the ushers and
greeters.
Michael and his wife Kathern have one son,
Patrick, daughter-in-law, Rebecca, and
granddaughter, Parker.
Michael graduated from Butler County High School
and holds a Bachelor of Arts, Masters and Rank I
from Western KY University. Michael majored in
Sociology and has a minor in Religion and
History. He worked for the Butler County Board
of Education for six years as a teacher, coach
and served as an assistant principal for two
years. He currently serves as a financial
advisor where he has worked for the last
twenty-two years.
In addition to serving the Lord at Cool Springs
Michael has been active in the Gideons
International for over twenty-five years, has
held several state offices and has also traveled
to Latvia, Nigeria and India. |
