SENIOR MINISTRY

Our Senior team focuses on fellowshipping with the older members of our congregation, those who may not be able to attend regularly or that may be shut-ins.  This team gives their time to show the love of Jesus to others.  It also helps promote a time of fellowship with those over the age of 50 through monthly trips. 

Ernie Shelton is the Senior Ministry leader.

Cool Springs has ministries for many different age groups of our church family.  Many of our church family are no longer able to attend our church services as they would like. 

David said in Psalms 37: “I have never seen the old forsaken nor their seed begging bread.” 

As the body of Cool Springs Church, it is both our opportunity and our responsibility to see that all our members are never forsaken spiritually.  We need to feed them in ways that we give our time and prayers.  They provide a wealth of wisdom, joy in the Lord, and wonderful stories of the past, along with dreams for the future.  That is what ministry is about…using our time for those people who have led the way for us to have the church family we have today. These are part of the responsibilities and goals of the Senior team.

Senior Ministry Areas:

· Monthly visitations

· Weekly phone calls

· Deliver Worship Service recordings; cassette tapes, CD’s and DVD’s

· Participation in nursing home services by seeing that our members who live there have the opportunity to come and worship with us

· Making special efforts to remember birthdays, anniversaries, ect.

· When appropriate, provide time with shut-ins to give caregivers some time to go to the grocery, pharmacy, ect.

Young at Heart Senior-adults

If there is any group at Cool Springs who is having fun it is the Young at Heart Group!

The group is open to all 50 and older. If you would like to be a part of the Young at Heart crew, just call the Church office at 270-526-3553 or 270-526-6379. Keep up with the latest info through our newsletter, "The Beacon," and through the weekly worship bulletin.

You can join the group at anytime. Simply keep watch for our next outing and come join us for a wonderful day of Christian fellowship.
