Cool Springs Church Family Life Center

After much prayer and consideration Cool Springs Church began construction on a Family Life Center in 2002.  This Family Life center would have multiple Sunday School rooms, conference room, fitness room and full kitchen facilities.  It was the desire of the church that this facility in itself would be an outreach to the community therefore it was to be called “The Lighthouse.”

The first service held in the Family Life center was on homecoming day in august 2004.  Since that time “The lighthouse” has been reaching out to the community in the following ways:

·  A walking track is available from 6:00 am -7:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday and is open to the community. 

·   A fitness room is open from 6:00 am -7:00 pm and is open to the community. 

·   Christians in Motion events are held on Tuesday at 7:00 pm and Thursdays at 6:30 pm and are open to the community.

·   Basketball is played 7:00 pm Mondays and 7:45 pm on Thursdays

How do these programs reach out? 

The walking track has the plan of salvation posted as you walk (or run) around the track.  Brochures listing our worship times and youth programs are displayed as you come in the door to the walking track.  Perhaps someone who does not attend church may come to an aerobics class or come to play basketball and decide to come to church on Sunday!  Cool Springs Preschool utilizes the building for the children to play on rainy days and to hold special events such as the Angel Breakfast and Valentine Celebration.

Through prayer and sacrificial giving, God has allowed Cool Springs Church to be keepers of “HIS” Lighthouse.  In service to Him, we are using this wonderful facility to reach out to others and we give God all Glory, Honor, and Praise!
